India's First National Center of Excellence likely to be inaugurate in December

Kolkata: The West Bengal government and FIFA worked together to establish the National Centre of Excellence near the Newtown Eco Park in Kolkata. This is the country’s first COE-initiated program, which will provide footballers and other staff with world-class facilities.

It is expected to be inaugurated in the second part of this year, most likely in December.

This project is implemented in a 15-acre area and will cost 220 crores. And it’s no different from the hub of any advanced country.

The ground was indeed covered with a gastropub grass sheet, and white paint was applied to the corners instead of chalk. Moreover, the sidelines and other corners are being covered with distinct sheets.

Inside the center, different rooms have been constructed for various functions. Five round fields, a media room, dressing rooms, five-star guest accommodations, training centers, and so on are all included. The roof-top ground is one of this center’s most impressive features.

Thus, it is anticipated that soon the country will have its top-notched football center.
