2 Premier I-League Clubs to shift venue to Bengal on account of Manipur Violence

Kolkata : Rising violence in Manipur has forced 2 premier Manipur Clubs – Neroca FC and TRAU FC likely to shift their venues at West Bengal for I-league home matches.

The Manipur Home Minister has stated disagreement over hosting these to Clubs’ home Matches in their State Grounds due to rise in violence. As a result, Neroca FC has talks with Kalyani Municipality and they’re just an official, decision away, that is, to give Neroca the Kalyani Stadium to host home Matches for I-League whereas, TRAU FC likely to use the Mohammedan Sporting Ground, reportedly, they’re in talks with Mohammedan Sporting Club to use that ground for hosting their home I-League Matches , however, low fencing or lack of proper fencing between the gallery and ground poses a security threat, although Mohammedan Club ensured to increase fencing heights and security measures.

The I-League preparations will be starting from next month’s coming week and the teams will be looking to have an official declaration regarding the Grounds quickly.
