Nyon: English side Manchester United have been drawn with Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 at the draws ceremony in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday(December 13) creating headlines Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi got locked in for another showdown clash.

Ronaldo and Messi faced each other in the Champions League group stage last season with the Portugal international scoring twice for his then side Juventus secured a 3-0 win against Barcelona.

While the maestros will meet again to showcase their prowess, both their clubs also will look to settle the scores in a fixture that has recently been hyped up for the past couple of seasons.

The two sides faced each other at the same stage of the 2018-19 campaign where the Manchester United progressed to the quarterfinals after a stunning result at the Parc de Princes. The Parisians earned a 2-0 win at Old Trafford in the first leg but Manchester United came back and shocked PSG with a Romelu Lukaku double alongside a last-gasp Marcus Rashford penalty in Paris to go through.

The Parisians though did avenge their elimination last season when they secured a thumping 3-1 win at Old Trafford with running the show for the French giants as United were knocked out of the competition during the group stages.
