‘This time our National Anthem did not play in Paris….’, Neeraj Chopra pens down emotional message after missing out Gold Medal

Paris : Indian Javelin throw icon Neeraj Chopra bagged Silver Medal in Paris Olympics 2024.

Despite expecting gold medal, he made India proud with their 1st Silver Medal in this Paris Olympics 2024.

Neeraj Chopra with a throw of 89.34m bagged India’s Silver Medal, despite 4 fouls,whereas, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem with a record throw of 92.97m clinched the Gold medal.

Neeraj, after the successful event penned down message on missing out Gold & no National Anthem being played during the medal ceremony on the podium, but keeping better hopes for future.

He said in his Social media account, “Feels great to win another medal for India in the Olympic Games. This time our National Anthem did not play in Paris, but I will work hard for that moment now. Very proud to be on the podium for India once again at the Olympic Games. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind.”

While showing his silver medal to the crowd, Neeraj says in a video in Hindi, “There’s nothing much to say, but I’ve brought something to show you all, sorry, like last time, there was no national anthem was played, what I had thought, didn’t happen but medal is medal, I had worked hard and winning a medal for the country and taking a lap of the track with the flag, that’s a different feeling all together.”

Neeraj bagged Gold in Tokyo Olympics 2020 , this is his 2nd consecutive Olympics medal.
