Dubai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming has confirmed that their star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will miss another game of the 13th edition of IPL.
“Dwayne was injured so he is probably out for the first two games. But Sam’s performance was a big positive. His attitude is quite infectious. His performance today was quite outstanding. Straight off the plane yesterday,” Fleming said in the post-match press conference.
Bravo, who came to the United Arab Emirates last month on the back of an unbeaten title-winning run with the Trinbago Knight Riders in the recently-concluded Caribbean Premier League, wasn’t picked for CSK’s opening game on Saturday because of his knee injury. He’ll not available for the second game too.
Fleming was full of praises for Sam Curran, who was playing the all-rounder’s role in the opening match and Ambati Rayudu after CSK defeated the defending Mumbai Indians by five wickets in the opener.
“If Dwayne was fit, it would have been a toss-up if he (Curran) had played at all. So he has taken this opportunity and put some pressure on,” said the former New Zealand skipper.
