India announces ODI Squad against New Zealand, Harmanpreet Kaur continues as skipper, Richa Ghosh, Pooja Vastrakar rested, 4 uncapped players roped in

Kolkata : BCCI has announced 16 members Indian squad for 3 Match ODI Series against New Zealand starting from October 24-29, all set to be held at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Richa Ghosh, Pooja Vastrakar and Asha Sobhana have been released from the squad, all were parts of ICC Women’s T20 WC 2024, that saw Indian’s group stage exit.

While Richa will appear for Class 12 Board exams, Pooja is rested and Asha is unavailable for selection as she’s nursing an injury.

The squad, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, includes four uncapped players: Tejal Hasabnis, Saima Thakor, Priya Mishra, and Sayali Satgare. Additionally, wicketkeeper Uma Chetry and pace all-rounder Arundhati Reddy are in contention for their maiden ODI caps.

The rest of the squad remains same after the horrors of T20 WC 2024. India would like to redeem themselves after the dismal exit and like to revamp their team performance with a new start.
