Mumbai: Hardik Pandya’s newborn baby maybe just a week old, but has already attained some useful professional recommendation. In fact, he has been advised to actually follow in his father’s footsteps by one of Hardik’s closest friends and star India opener, KL Rahul.
On Friday, Hardik’s brother Krunal uploaded a video with his nephew, and captioned, “Let’s talk cricket.” Not wasting any time, Rahul jumped in with his request. “Please tell him to become a fast-bowling all-rounder,” the stylish right-hander commented.
With Hardik and Krunal each having represented India as all-rounders, it remains to be seen whether the child follows his genetics and walks in his father and uncle’s footsteps. On July 30 (Thursday) Hardik took his Instagram to announce the good news with his fans. Pandya wrote, “We are blessed with our baby boy.”
Hardik had missed international cricket for a long period due to a recurring injury and was set to make his comeback for the national team during the scheduled ODI series against South Africa. Hardik and Rahul will soon face-off with each other during the 13th edition of IPL in UAE.
