I don’t know how to give hope to the supporters: Hari Mohan Bangur reacts on East Bengal official’s negligence

Kolkata: East Bengal club has been going through a tough phase with ongoing deadlock between the club officials and the investor Shree Cement Limited. The matter took serious turn as the company’s managing director Hari Mohan Bangur recently expressed his annoyance stating that he is not hopeful about the his relationship with Kolkata giants.

“I am not sure about the future of East Bengal. I don’t know how to give hope to the supporters? While we know that the supporters are waiting, we don’t want to make false promises” stated Mr. Bangur in an interview after the squad building process for the upcoming season got halted.

As per reports, last month, East Bengal officials were sent out an ultimatum by the company about the final signature on the agreement with an additionally attached term sheet which the final agreement was based on.

However, the club officials took a stand against Shree Cement stating a few clauses in the final agreement differing from the term sheet which was signed back in September last year speaking about the sporting rights being transferred to newly formed Shree Cement East Bengal foundation. Mr. was expressed his displeasure about the club officials’ behavior regarding this matter.

“Today the situation has reached this place due to the negligence of the East Bengal officials. They have been holding the matter for six months by not signing the final agreement. It is a one-minute job, but they are taking so much time. How will that work?” he further added
