The visitors were caught 10 minutes into the game at the Stadio Friuli as Udinese’s Nahuel Molina go to the end of a quickly taken free-kick for the opener. The home side tested the dented Juventus defence on many occasions throughout the game but they were unable to extend the lead.
However, the game turned within a span of six minutes before the final whistle. The visitors were awarded a penalty after a handball from Rodrigo De Paul sticking out his arm to block Ronaldo’s freekick.
The Portuguese maestro converted his spot-kick giving a lifeline before scoring a thumping header in an 89th-minute to claw the three points for Juventus who now stands third between AC Milan and Atalanta leveling the points with them.
