Kolkata: Mohammedan Sporting Club have sacked head coach Jose Hevia after their 0-3 loss to Aizawl FC in the I-League. The decision came in after the Black Panthers put in a miserable performance against Yan Law’s Aizawl.

Incidentally, Mohammedan had sacked Law in October last year on charges of leaking important information about the club. This is their second loss of the league, the other being against Indian Arrows, and are currently sitting in the seventh position with two matches left to play.

Meanwhile, to make matters worse, Mohammedan has also being accused of copy-pasting ISL side NorthEast United FC’s official statement which they had put while sacking Gerad Nus. The Black Panthers came into the I-League after seven years.

Former Mohun Bagan coach Shankarlal Chakraborty has been appointed as the club’s new coach for the remainder of the season.
