Kathmandu: Ever since the beginning of SAFF Women’s Championship in 2010, India made it to the finals. The Blue Tigress bag the title every year, but this year the world is going to witness a new champion.
FULL-TIME! Not our best moment in the #SAFFWomens2022 🏆 Championship as the match comes to an end. But we will be back with a stronger performance next time. Keep believing in us.
🇳🇵 1-0 🇮🇳

The defending champions India have been knocked out of the 2022 edition against a strong Nepal side. A narrow 1-0 defeat to Suren Chettri’s team will be remembered for long. Rashmi Kumari calmly took the goal right at the stroke of half time which made the difference. Nepal has reached the final of the competition for 5th time and be facing Bangladesh. Nepal is in the hopes of claiming their first ever SAFF title.
It was a wonderful scene at the end for the hosts and their fans who turned up in numbers. Plenty to ponder from an Indian point of view.
