Mumbai: Cricket fans will be in for a treat as the much-awaited 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starts on Saturday, March 26.
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horn against each other in the tournament opener of the Indian Premier League 2022 on Saturday l at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Both CSK and KKR will begin a new era under the leadership of Ravindra Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer when they begin their title defence against each other.
However, both the teams have been slightly affected by their overseas players arriving late.
KKR will play without Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch. CSK will be without service of their star all-rounder Moeen Ali for the first match of the season. Meanwhile, pacer Deepak Chahar will also be unavailable due to his injury.
