Wembley : England Women win their first ever European Championship after beating 8 times champion Germany Women by 2-1

56 years later England Women bring their first ever glory in any major tournaments after Men won their ever FIFA World Cup in 1966.

Earlier Manchester United’s Ella Toone come off the bench to score England’s first goal in the final at wembley before Germany’s Lina Magull set up an equaliser in the 79th minute. But Chloe Kelly’s extra time score secure Lionesses to win the title in front of the record crowd of 87000 at Wembley Stadium, beating the highest total record in both of the tournament for men and women.

England forward Beth Mead becomes the player of the tournament and she also wins the golden boot with six goals and three assists.
