
Mumbai: Punjab Kings (PBKS) returned with a victory in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. A winning knock from Jonny ‘Bairstow and Liam Livingstone en-routed Punjab Kings to a total of 209 in the first innings. Punjab Kings registered a 54-run victory.
Punjab Kings replaced Sandeep Sharma with Harpreet Brar. Punjab Kings’ Jonny Bairstow crunched two sixes and fours as the fifty partnership was up for the opening wicket. Shikhar Dhawan clubbed two fours and a six but Maxwell castled Dhawan. Bairstow hammared two more sixes to nitch up his half-century.

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis responded strongly for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli added two fours and a six. but Rabada claimed the his wicket. Faf du Plessis was out, caught behind off Rishi Dhawan. Royal Challengers Bangalore were 44/3 at the end of the powerplay.
Mahipal Lomror was caught inside the circle. Glenn Maxwell and Rajat Patidar led to a recovery and stitched a valuable fifty partnership. Royal Challengers Babgalore were 95/3 at the halfway stage. Rahul Chahar put an end to the partnership, holding Patidar at long-on.
Royal Challengers Bangalore dismissed Maxwell for 35. Arshdeep claimed Dinesh Karthik Royal Challengers Bangalore required 90 runs off the final five overs. Rabada brought an end to Shahbaz Ahmed’s stay and Harpreet Brar took a sharp to dismiss Hasaranga. Royal Challengers Bangalore fell 55 runs short of the target.
