Goa : ATK Mohun Bagan and FC Goa share points between each other as the match ended 1-1. The goal for ATKMB was scored by Edu Garcia and for Goa it was Ishan Pandita. A heavily high dramatic match couldn’t separate two heavyweights of the league.
The match between second and third table holders and both the teams were focused to win the match to be in the race to the top of the table. But after 90 minutes no one could separate the sides.
The match started with ATKMB attacking and two shots from David Williams and Edu Garcia went dangerously passed the Goa goal. Then a header from Subhashis Bose hit the crossbar or else the Mariners would have got their lead. Goa came close in the first half after a shot hit the bar and went out.
In the second half Goa started in a different mood as they were the team who came close after a shot from Seriton Fernandes hit the inside of the post and went out.
In the 75th minute ATKMB got their first goal from an Edu Garcia free-kick. A free-kick from 22-yards was smashed into the top corner by the Spaniard. Goa has a knack of spoiling opponents party and a Pandita equalizer in the 85th minute settled the matter between two top sides of the league.
