Goa: Pritam Kotal scored in the 93rd minute to deny 10-man Hyderabad FC 2-2 at the Tilak Maidan in the Indian Super League on Monday. Aridane Santana and Ronald Alberg scored for Hyderabad while Manvir Singh was the other scorer for ATKMB.
Things started on a bad note for Hyderabad Chinglangsana Singh was given the marching orders in the fourth minute. But that red card couldn’t stop Hyderabad to take the lead as the Nizams scored four minutes later to take the upper hand through Santana.
ATKMB didn’t get things right as the Kolkata-based side had zero shots on goal in the first half. The scenario changed in the second half after Manvir scored the equaliser in the 54th minute from a David Williams pass.
When everyone thought that the game would end in a draw, Alberg gave Nizams the lead in the 74th minute. ATKMB are now six points clear of Mumbai City FC but have to wait for Mumbai’s next game result to qualify for the AFC Champions League.
