“The 26-year-old, who had an operation in May to remove a bone fragment from his elbow, returned to play last month. As part of his return-to-bowling programmed, he became aware of increasing discomfort in his elbow during matches for Sussex in the Vitality Blast and a 50-over friendly against Oxfordshire. The operation is not related to the stress fracture that sidelined the player previously. He will now spend time on an extended break from cricket before returning for a medical review in early autumn.” the statement added.
After the news of Archer’s injury, social media got flooded with speedy-recovery messages for the England fast bowler. Amid this, an old tweet from Archer also went viral. Now, cricket fans must be aware of Jofra Archer and his prophetic tweets. Archer, who is hailed as a modern-day ‘Nostradamus’ for his ability to predict the future when it comes to his tweet. One of his tweets from July 2015 resurfaced which made fans think Archer knew about his injury back then. “Elbow” was written in the post alongside a laughing emoticon.
