BWF Rankings: Kidambi Srikanth back in TOP 10

Kolkata: In the recently given Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings, India’s Kidambi Srikanth vaulted four places to reclaim his spot in the top ten, riding high on his historic World Championship silver.

The 28-year-old from Guntur was awarded for his 10th place finish in the standings after his final performance in Huelva, Spain. Lakshya Sen, who won his first World Championship bronze in his debut campaign, gained two ranks to 17th, while B Sai Praneeth fell two spaces to 18th.

H S Prannoy improved six positions to 26th after finishing in the quarterfinals in Spain.

P V Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, is still in seventh place in the women’s singles, while Saina Nehwal, who is recuperating from many injuries, is in 25th place.

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy of the men’s doubles team dropped one spot to 10th, while Ashwini Ponnappa and N Sikki Reddy of the women’s doubles team reclaimed their place in the top 20.
