Leicester: Liverpool lifts the Community Shield since 2006 as Darwin Nunez came off the bench. Nunez made his maiden goal for the Reds in a 3-1 win over Manchester City. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah were also on target.
The opener came off Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pacing strike gave Liverpool the half-time lead.
After the break, City’s new forward Julian Alvarez put an equaliser to get back into the game. Mohamed Salah was deadly from the penalty spot after Nunez’s header was handled by Ruben Dias.

Darwin Nunez who won a penalty and score his first goal. However Erling Haaland’s debut for City ended in a defeat but proved his persistence. Haaland was denied by Liverpool stand-in goalkeeper Adrian during the last few minutes.
