Milan: A second-half strike from defender Milan Skriniar helped Inter Milan seal a 1-0 win over Atalanta in Serie A on Monday (March 8). The victory sent Antonio Conte’s side six points clear at the top of the Serie A standings.
The Nerazzurri had a scratchy first half with goalkeeper Samir Handanovic having to make a fine save to deny Duvan Zapata giving the visitors the lead. Romelu Lukaku had a rather off day in front of the goal.
However, after the break, Skriniar pounced on a loose ball smashing it home to put Inter on the course for the victory. Atalanta created a few chances in later parts of the game but the hosts hung it there at the back to earn full-three points.
