Australia opting to bowl first removed 2 quick wickets of Phil Salt (10) & Jamie Smith (15), both falling to left arm paced Ben Dwarshuis (3/66) for 43 runs.
Ben Duckett (165) & Jamie Smith (68) smashed 158 runs partnership and brought England back on track.
Duckett recorded highest individual score in Champions Trophy history, going past Nathan Astle’s 145* against USA in 2004. He smashed 165 (143) including 3 sixes and 17 boundaries.
Some vital contributions at othe end from skipper Jos Buttler (23) & Jofra Archer (21*), finished the innings with good cameo, as England posted 351-8 (50).
