Kolkata: Hockey India announced the 20-man squad for Indian National Men’s Hockey team that will take part in the last leg of FIH Pro League 2021-22. The squad will play against host Belgium and Netherlands.
The 20-member squad includes goalkeepers Suraj Karkera, PR Sreejesh, defenders Surender Kumar, Harmanpreet Singh, Varun Kumar, Amit Rohidas, Jugraj Singh and Jarmanpreet Singh.
Midfield will consist of Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, Shamsher Singh, Vivek Sagar Prasad, Akashdeep Singh and Nilakanta Sharma while the forward will feature Gurjant Singh, Mandeep Singh, Shilanand Lakra, Sukhjeet Singh, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay and Abhishek.
India who right now sit atop the table will play Belgium on June 11 and 12 in Antwerp, followed by matches against the Netherlands on June 18 and 19 in Rotterdam. The team will be captained by Amit Rohidas and vice-captained by Harmanpreet Singh.
