Alessandro Del Piero highlights Cristiano Ronaldo’s underrated attribute

Manchester: Italy and Liverpool legend Alessandro Del Piero claimed Cristiano Ronaldo possesses a unique trait that is really underappreciated.

“There is something crucial about Cristiano, which is often underrated,” stated the legendary footballer.

Cristiano Ronaldo had made a shocking return to Old Trafford from Juventus this summer stealing all the headlines. He made a striking debut for the Manchester side for a second time finding the net twice against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
His Champions League debut was also marked with a goal as early as the 13th minute but fell short after the hosts, YSC Young Boys came from behind to steal away the points.

Del Piero revealed to have noticed the mistake made by the Young Boys defender that led to Ronaldo’s goal. He stated that the quality of Ronaldo being on target every time he shoots deserves more appreciation.

“Ronaldo’s movement was perfect, he is a master at stealing a yard from his opponents, but the defender should have done more and be more focused,” Del Piero told Sky Sport Italia, commenting on Ronaldo’s performance.”

“There is something crucial about Cristiano, which is often underrated. His shots are always on target. That’s a big difference with any other striker.”

“Sometimes you can be lucky as it happened in the last game [against Newcastle], but he always gets the target and that’s crucial.”

“As we saw in Villarreal vs. Atalanta, strikers’ attempts sometimes are off the target, it rarely happens with Cristiano,” added he.
