Al Amerat : India A defeated Oman by 6 wickets at Al Amerat in their last group match of ACC Emerging T20 Asia Cup 2024 to record hattrick of wins and finish the group stage being undefeated. Ayush Badoni with 51 (27) starred in the win.
India A bowlers proved too economical for Oman to handle as they dominated in powerplay picking up 3 wickets.
Despite Mohammad Nadeem (42), Hammad Mirza (28*) & Wasim Ali (24) playing vital knocks, Oman could only manage 140-5 (20).
Chasing 141 runs, despite losing Anuj Rawat (8) early, skipper Tilak Varma (36*) & Abhishek Sharma (34) set up the tone.
The star of Indian Batting in the chase proved to be Ayush Badoni (51), who scored a quick fire half century and guided his team past the target in 15.2 overs.
Badoni was adjourned the Man of The Match for his heroic knock.
India A will now take on Afghanistan A in Semi Final 2 on October 25.
