Dubai: People are threatening to rape his nine-month-old daughter and apparently uploading images of her online in retaliation to Virat Kohli’s scorching attack on his team’s critics, dubbing them “spineless” and “pathetic.”
Team India skipper is known for making outspoken statements and standing up for what he believes is unfair. He did so once again when he came out in favour of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, who has been subjected to cyberbullying because of his religion following India’s loss to Pakistan in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.
However, some people couldn’t handle the Indian cricket team’s solidarity, and a few haters threatened Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter Vamika with rape threats. Notably, while issuing a rape threat to Vamika Kohli, the now-deleted account @Criccrazyygirl demanded for the toddler’s photo to be exposed.
Following it, several users came in support of Kohli and Tweeted about this shameful instance. NDTV and Gulf News columnist Swati Chaturvedi expressed her desire to “puke” after coming across the disgusting threats against a toddler because of her father’s stand against “bigotry” and support for his teammate. She asserted, “These bigots belong in jail.”
