Dambulla : Sri Lanka defeated West Indies in 3rd T20I by 9 wickets at Rangiri Stadium, Dambulla and bagged 3 Match T20I series 2-1. Kusal Mendis (68*) & Kusal Perera (55*) played vital roles to put their nation past the winning mark.
Bowling 1st Sri Lankan spinners with help of Maheesh Theeksana and Wanindu Hasaranga tied West Indies and took 4 wickets (2 each) between themselves.
West Indies, with help of cameos of skipper Rovman Powell (37) & Gudakesh Motie (32) posted a respectable total of 162-8 (20).
Sri Lanka didn’t find much difficulties in chasing the total. Despite losing Pathum Nissanka (39) on 60 runs in Powerplay after he gave a quick fire start, Kusal Mendis (68*) & Kusal Perera (55*) notched up 106 runs partnership to help Sri Lanka bag the Series 2-1.
