Kolkata : With qualification to Indian Super League on their mind, I-League outfit Rajasthan United joined hands with prestigious Shrachi Group ahead of I-League 2024-25. The club who changed their name to Shrachi Rajasthan Tigers, roped in Portuguese coach Mario Lemos as the new head coach.
Mario Lemos has experience of coaching Bangladesh National Team as interim head coach. Under him Bangladesh beat Maldives for 1st time in 2021- Four Nation Tournament.
He is notable for numerous title wins notably with Abahani Limited Dhaka including 2019 AFC Cup win as South Asia Zone Champions, 2021-22 Independence Cup win. He won Federation Cup in same year with the team.
Apart from successful stint with Dhaka, he has managed clubs like Ferreiras Youth, Muangthong United ll, Gyeyang FC Youth, Yangcheon TNT FC, Negeri Sembilan.
His inclusion in Rajasthan will be vital for the team.
