Goa: Hyderabad FC made a double over Chennaiyin FC after they win 2-0 at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco. Goals for Hyderabad were scored by Fran Sandaza and Joel Chianese. This win has helped them move up to third place in the table with 22 points.

The match started slowly as both the team were playing in their defensive third and were not taking many risks to go forward. Hyderabad picked up the tempo from the 20th minute with their free-flowing football and certainly it is the highlight of a good team this season.

In the 28th minute, Sandaza scored the opener for Hyderabad from a Joe Victor pass. A clinical finish passed Chennai keeper Vishal Kaith. In the second half Chennai started to press and came close within nine minutes from an Eli Sabia shot which went off by hitting the crossbar.

Rahim Ali missed an open goal after a beautiful ball was played for him by Lallinzuala Chhangte. When you miss so many easy chances the opponent would punish you, and the same thing happened after Chianese scored the insurance goal for Hyderabad in the 82nd minute and sealed the deal for Manolo Marquez’s side.
