Dortmund missed several chances to score which Real Madrid utilized later in the Match.
In 1st half, Dortmund dominated Real Madrid, but missed 3 big chances to score goal. The scoreline was eventually 0-0.
In the 2nd half, Real Madrid made a comeback in the game.
Dani Carvajal scored a 71st-minute header off a Toni Kroos corner kick to give Madrid 1-0 lead.
Few minutes later in 83rd minute, Vinicius Junior netted the 2nd goal for Madrid to give a 2-0 lead an ensuring the win, keeping the scoreline till the last minute.
This was also the last game for legend Toni Kroos and he got a fitting farewell as he bid adieu with another title.
