ISL 2020-21: Chennaiyin FC to begin their campaign with mouthwatering contest against Jamshedpur FC

Goa: Chennaiyin FC will face Jamshedpur FC to kick-off their season in the Indian Super League(ISL) at the Tilak Maidan in Goa on Tuesday(November 24).

Chennaiyin, a former winner of the title, will look to replicate their previous prowess under coach Csaba Laszlo with a few crucial additions to the team along retaining a couple of key players such as playmaker Rafael Crivellaro who registered 7 goals & 8 assists in ISL last season and defender Eli Sabiá with the former assigning captaincy and the latter being the vice-captain. Enes Sipovic, a center-back from Bosnia will feature at the heart of the defence will with his sheer physical as well as good technical gifts along with the versatile Memo Moura, who has been added to the squad as well. Besides, that Laszlo will depend on their Indian contingent as well with the likes of Anirudh Thapa, Deepak Tangri and Rahim Ali in their ranks.

On the other hand, Jamshedpur FC, now under László’s predecessor Owen Coyle added Chennayin’s former striker Nerijus Valskis and defender Laldinliana Renthlei meaning it will create a gem of a match to watch for supporters as well as neutrals. Besides that, players like Jackichand Singh and Alex Lima will also be useful. In terms of head-to-head in both the times these two met last season, Chennaiyin were unbeaten in both making this year’s fixture a lot interesting.
