Paris: Real Madrid has reportedly submitted a bid of 160m pounds for French wonderkid Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain after the youngster’s contract expires in June 2022. Mbappé joined the Paris-based club in 2017 from AS Monaco for 165.7m pounds for four years and has scored 133 goals in 174 games lifting three league titles with them.

The Madrid giants had been very keen on signing Mbappé, who was really close to joining the Spanish Giants before moving to PSG. As the expiration of the deal is coming near, Mbappé on various occasions has revealed that he does not want to renew with PSG and would like to fight for a challenge elsewhere in Europe.

PSG officials thought that the arrival of Lionel Messi would play a great factor in convincing the forward to stay but it did not play out so. Although, a lot of reports say that PSG, who had been really firm in their stance of not letting Mbappé go, would soften if the offer is increased to 200m pounds.

Real Madrid have been carefully handling finances in the last two years making no first-team signing since Eden Hazard from Chelsea. They signed David Alaba from Bayern Munich this season. With the amounts received for Raphael Varane and Martin Odegaard, Real Madrid seem to have amassed enough finances for the signing of the French star.

Lest Real Madrid sign Mbappe, it will be a lot of endless benefits and opportunities. This deal can pave the way for Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in PSG and for the La Liga opponents, they would have to up their game by a notch to withhold the World Cup winner.
