Paris : One of the modern day Pole Vault greats Sweden’s Mondo Duplantis set a world record in Pole Vault relishing the extent humans can go & secured Gold Medal.
The Swedish cleared a whooping 6.25 meters (20 feet 6 inches) , justifying why he’s called the King of this event. This is the 9th time Mondo has shattered the World Record since 2020. He secured his 2nd consecutive Gold Medal.
After missing 1st & 2nd attempt, Mondo nailed in his 3rd attempt clearing 6.25m to set the new world record.
“For it to actually happen the way that it did and for me to put the right jump together at the right time, it’s just, like, how do you explain it?” he said. “It’s bigger than words for me”, he added after clinching the glory.
