Kolkata : Anwar Ali transfer saga gets heated up. Bengal giant Mohun Bagan might take action against defender Anwar Ali if he fails to report on training ground of Mariners on July 19.

Mohun Bagan reportedly asked Anwar to join their training , and report for it on July 19.

News of Anwar’s retaining by Mohun Bagan was scrapped when sources revealed that he has signed 5-year deal with their arch rivals East Bengal.

Given the delicate nature of the matter, Mohun Bagan would also be forced to take legal action against the player should he not join the training on the given stipulated date.

The defender is to train with youth team ahead of Durand Cup kicking off.

Given the reports of his transfer to East Bengal , Mohun Bagan might be forced to take legal action against him provided his failure to report to training sessions, July 19.

AIFF is yet to take a decision in this heated matter. Mohun Bagan is unwilling to let go of their star defender, especially to their arch-rivals, given the player is supposed to stay till 2027.

Mohun Bagan claims that they have done everything by the law book and will seek legal action if things take turn in other direction.

As per reports, Anwar Ali is supposed to have signed a 5-year deal with East Bengal yesterday. But, fate of the player and where he will play will now entirely depend on whether his loan deal termination is done properly.

Furthermore, the case is likely to head to the Player Status Committee (PSC) and a decision will be taken in due course of time.

Right now, Anwar Ali saga may go to the legal hands if he fails to report to training.
