Kolkata : ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) and Mumbai City FC (MCFC) had an exciting 1-1 draw in a Group B of 131st Durand Cup clash.

Liston Colaco scored for ATK Mohun Bagan, while his effort was cancelled by Argentine striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz.

The match started with a ferocious pace, ATKMB did most of the attacking in the first 20 minutes of the first-half.

Liston, made an early attempt at the second minute, with a dazzling run from the right to unleash a right-footer from inside the box to beat keeper Phurba Lachenpa in the MCFC goal. However, the right upright came to the rescue. Another solo run by the Goan in the 12th minute was dismantled by Rahul Bheke.

The goal came in the 40th minute with Florentin Pogba in the middle of the park. He controlled the ball with some skill to shrug off two MCFC challengers and pass to Deepak Tangri. Tangri found Ashish Rai inside the box and played him on. Ashish’s strike on target was saved by Lachenpa, but Liston was at hand and bulged the rebound into the roof of the Mumbai net.

MCFC coach Des Buckingham made one change at half-time to bring Lallianzuala Chhangte, the Man of the Match in the last game, in place of Vikram Pratap Singh.

Pereyra Diaz, brought on in the 68th minute in place of Moroccan Ahmed Jahouh, was the one that brought him dividends. In-fact both the subs combined as Stalin, played out wide on the right, delivered a first-time floater in the box and found the Argentine unmarked. He headed down to wrong-foot the keeper and MCFC were level.

Home side NEROCA FC was held to a goalless draw by the Army Red Football Team (ARFT) in a Group C.
The first half saw no intent from both teams, particularly in the middle of the park. The home side showed more eagerness, but could not create any meaningful chances in the ARFT half.

NEROCA started the second half brightly and started to create more chances. Lulminlal and Thomyo in particular, missed glorious opportunities to score for NEROCA.

At the hour mark, Lulminlal created a half-chance of shorts with great individual work, his diagonal run past two Army Red defenders creating the space to shoot, but he was off-target in the end.
With three minutes left on the clock it was the Army team which got one final chance to break the deadlock when substitute Pradeep Kumar, unleashed a left-footed pile-driver from about 20 yards out but keeper Sonam Porei, rightly adjudged
