Kolkata : As per reports, Lucknow Super Giants and their owner Sanjeev Goenka aren’t happy with KL Rahul’s captaincy and performance in IPL 2024 , therefore, they’ll not retain him in 2025.
Lucknow Super Giants finished at number 7 , failed to qualify for 1st time since their debut in 2022. KL Rahul’s performance and captaincy was heavily criticized.
In a match where Sunrisers Hyderabad thrashed them by 10 wickets, Goenka was seen having heated argument with Rahul.
Former Indian and Lsg spinner Amit Mishra too said in a podcast that LSG will look for a better skipper than Rahul from next season.
He also supported Goenka in that feud, criticizing Rahul, & also blamed him for not giving him enough matches.
All in all, in multiple reports it’s said LSG unlikely to retain Rahul, even if they retain, he won’t be the captain . Things aren’t good between them.
