Hyderabad: Hyderabad FC have signed three Indian youngsters Akash Mishra, Rohit Danu and Biaka Jongte ahead for the upcoming 2020-21 season of ISL. All of them were in the AIFF developmental side Indian Arrows playing in the I-League last year. The club unveiled the signings on social media on Friday (October 16). As per reports, each of the young tridents has signed deal that will keep them at the club until the 2022-23 season.

Akash Mishra, a full-back was in Germany for training after making it through the trials conducted by U Dream Football Academy in 2015. The teenager, returning to India made his way into the India U18 side scoring twice in seven games to help his side take the SAFF Championships in 2019 before joining Indian Arrows.

“Among many things that excite me about Hyderabad FC is the rich football history of the city. Hyderabad has produced many star players for the country in the past and I cannot wait to be a part of the club ahead of the new Indian Super League season,” said Akash after penning the deal.

An attacker by trait, Rohit Danu came through the rank of the AIFF Elite Academy. He was the youngest member of India’s squad for the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2017. Despite his injuries, Danu came into the limelight after breaking the record of becoming the youngest ever goalscorer in the I-League, when he netted a goal for Arrows against Aizawl in January 2019, at the age of 16.

Explaining on his move the youngster Rohit added, “Signing with HFC is the start of a new journey for me in my career. I am proud to have signed for the club and as a youngster, I will try my best to learn and improve myself as a player. I am glad for the chance the club has given me at such a young age,”

A talented shot-stopper, Biaka Jongte, played local football in Mizoram before helping India U-15 side to the SAFF Championship triumph in 2017 and becoming part of India youth squad that reached the quarterfinals of the AFC U16 Championship in 2018. Having been present in India’s age-group sides, Jongte also helped India win a four-nation tournament in Serbia, where he was awarded the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ for his efforts while making quite an impression playing with Arrows in the I-League.

“I am really happy and proud to be a part of HFC. I already feel comfortable here and feel that this club is the perfect fit for me to improve as a player. I look forward to playing as much as I can and give my 100% in training,” added Biaka on the move.
