Kolkata : Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 13 years old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi bagged 1.1 crores and joined Rajasthan Royals after intense bidding war. He becomes the youngest player to be picked in an IPL auction.
Suryavanshi made history last year , debuting for Bihar in Ranji Trophy 2023-24, becoming the youngest player (12 years) to do so surpassing Yuvraj Singh.
He caught the eyes of the selectors when he smashed 104 off 62 balls in India Under-19’s Youth Test against Australia in Chennai.
The left-hander’s century came in 58 balls, making it the fastest Youth Test hundred by an Indian and the second-fastest overall in the world.
The 13 years old was expected to bag big prize in this auction, and true to the words, after an intense bidding war between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, the Royals bought him at whooping amount of 1.1 Crores.
