Ahmedabad : Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, to book place in their 4th IPL final. Mitchell Starc’s 3-fer, Shreyas & Venkatesh Iyer’s 50s played a major role in the victory.

Chasing 160 runs, KKR typically started brutally.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz (23), Sunil Narine (21) departed cheaply but not before putting 67 runs on board.

Shreyas Iyer (51*) & Venkatesh Iyer (58*) smashed all SRH bowlers out of park accompanied by luck. They built 97 runs partnership between themselves, guiding KKR to the final at Chepauk.

In 1st innings, SRH with Bat never looked settled, lost wickets at regular intervals. Mitchell Starc with 3/34 destroyed the dangerous top order of SRH.

The only positive sign was of Rahul Tripathi (55) & Heinrich Klaasen (32), notching up a vital 62 runs partnership from 39-4.

Middle order collapsed after their dismissal, skipper Pat Cummins (30) fought till end taking SRH to 159 runs.

Mitchell Starc was adjourned the Man of the Match for his performance.

RCB and RR will take on each other in Eliminator tomorrow. The winner of it will face SRH in Qualifier 2 . Qualifier 2 winner will take on KKR in the final on May 26.
