Dubai: The 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is presently ongoing in the UAE with eight teams playing for the craved silverware. The IPL has been shifted to the UAE due to the uprising COVID-19 cases in India. The mid-season transfer window will begin soon after each franchise complete playing seven matches in the tournament. This window gives an opportunity to each of the teams to boost up their squad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team director Mike Hesson had expressed his support for the mid-season loan transfer of players before the start of the tournament. “Looks if needs must, later on, we are certainly open to it,” he had said at a virtual media conference.
“We’ve got a small squad and we’ve done that for a reason. If something (injuries) was to occur, we’d certainly look at that.”
“You, however, need both teams to buy into any potential loan. So you need to make sure the other side is happy with the loan and think they’ll get benefit from it later on in the tournament as well. So it’s not a matter of identifying someone you want, they also have to be allowed to be released as well.”

When does it start?
The IPL 2020 mid-season transfer window will start when all the franchises complete seven matches each. Currently, most of the teams have played six matches each, while a few have played five.

A players should not have played more than two matches, Both capped and uncapped, Indian and overseas players eligible for transfer.
