He left his Test career shattering uncountable records, but will nearly miss out 2 massive historic records due to his sudden retirement.

(1) Smashing 10,000 Test Runs –
Virat Kohli currently finished his career on 9230 Test runs, expressed his desire to complete 10,000 Test runs in an old interview. However, he missed out joining the club by 770 runs since he called his time on Test career.
(2) Becoming leading run scorer for India in World Test Championship (WTC)
At the moment, former Test captain, Rohit Sharma holds the record of scoring most runs for India in WTC history. He also retired from Tests few days before. The Indian skipper had amassed 2716 runs, while Kohli currently has 2617 runs, meaning that the legendary batter is only 99 runs to go past his former teammate, and opening batter, Rohit Sharma.
