AB de Villiers reaches a rare milestone, joins Virat Kohli & Co.

Dubai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman AB de Villiers showed yet again why he is considered one of the most explosive batsmen in T20 cricket. The former South African skipper, who has been a key batsman for the franchise remained unbeaten on 55 off 24 balls including four sixes and same number fours to help RCB post a mammoth 201/3 on Monday (September 28) against Mumbai Indians.

On that note, De Villiers completed 4500 IPL runs thus becoming the second overseas batsman and sixth overall to reach the milestone. He joined the elite list headed by Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan in that order. De Villiers who retired from international cricket in 2018, started his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils (DC) before moving to RCB.
