Saint Petersberg: Romelu Lukaku scored a brace as Belgium ran riot against Russia 3-0 in the Euro 2020 encounter on Saturday. Lukaku scored once in each half to keep his Inter Milan form intact.

Thomas Meunier scored the other for Belgium as the Red Devils started their campaign in the best way possible barring the injury to Timothy Castagne after a horrible collision with Daler Kuzyaev.

Lukaku who is Christian Eriksen’s teammate at Inter dedicated his goals to his Denmark counterpart after the latter collapsed on the pitch mid-match in Copenhagen and had to be given CPR to be revived. For Lukaku and the entire football community, it was highly emotional and difficult for the show to go on.

Elsewhere, Wales played a 1-1 draw against Switzerland. Breel Embolo gave his Swiss the lead in the 49th minute from a header before a 74th-minute goal from Kieffer Moore saw both teams from Group A share the points.
