Kolkata : Indian Leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is out of action for almost 2 years from international arena.
The leggie last played international Cricket back in 2023 , against West Indies and New Zealand in T20Is and ODIs respectively.
He hasn’t featured in any international Cricket since then for India.
India ignored him in all series prior to ICC World Cup 2023, and didn’t even feature in the World Cup squad.
He came back with a swash buckling IPL performance with 18 wickets. As a result of which, India picked him in ICC T20 WC 2024 squad that India won.
However, India benched him all throughout the tournament just like his previous 2 T20 Wcs.
Now India dropped him from Zimbabwe series, and today BCCI didn’t select him in the Sri Lanka series too.
Not to forget, BCCI scrapped him from central contract few months back.
Chahal picked 217 international wickets for India. However, his exclusion for such a long time makes his future highly uncertain in Indian team.
