IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore to clash for game change

Sharjah: The encounter between the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore has always piqued interest and both these teams have been on a roll this season which makes this contest highly awaited.  The 35th match of the IPL 2021 will take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah on Friday (September 24).

The MS Dhoni-led team stands second in the team standings at the time of season suspension, with six victories in eight games.

RCB is in second place, having won five of their eight matches. Meanwhile, the Men in Yellow began the UAE leg with a stunning victory over the defending champions Mumbai Indians in their opening match. The Mumbai-based side lost the game by 20 runs after failing to chase 157 in Dubai.

On the other side, RCB’s maiden appearance in the UAE this year was far from pleasant. The Virat Kohli-led side couldn’t muster much against the Kolkata Knight Riders, losing by nine wickets. KKR crossed the line with 10 overs to spare after bundling the Bangalore-based outfit for 92.

It should be recalled that CSK thrashed RCB handily in the opening leg of the competition. After scoring 191/4 in Mumbai, Chennai bowled the Challengers out for 122/9 and won by 69 runs. While MS Dhoni’s team will be looking to repeat their heroics, Virat Kohli’s side will be looking to even the score.
