Baku: The first game of the matchday 2 in the UEFA EURO 2020 will see Wales lock horns with Switzerland in Group A at Baku Olympic Stadium in Baku Azerbaijan on Saturday (June 12). Wales had a spirited campaign last time with going to the semi-finals before losing to Portugal. This time though they will look better the things up. Good news for them is that their talismanic forward Gareth Bale is in good form after having a decent reviving season with Tottenham Hotspur. Besides that, speedster Daniel James will be vital cog for them going forward but they will have out careful at the back as lack of experience could prove costly for them. As for the Swiss who are collectively a very tough side will look to take nothing less than full three points. Xherdan Shaqiri is undeniably their man to watch out for who actually scored the goal of the tournament five years back as his eye for a spectacular will be vital for side. But their defence have to careful against the likes for James and Bale from the opposing half.

The big game though of the day will be Belgium taking on Russia at the Krestovsky Stadium in Group B in St. Petersburg. Lead by their silky front-man Eden Hazard, the world number 1 side is one of the contenders for the title. They didn’t have the best campaign last time loosing to Wales in quarter – finals. However, this time have their big guns in the prime of their careers. Striker Romelu Lukaku was in red hot form in the recently concluded season. Hazard too found his rhythm but the main concern for will be the missing of Kevin De Bruyne through Injury. Another positive for is the emergence of Youri Tielemens and Thorgan Hazard who will offer options for Roberto Martinez. Russia on the other hand will look to create another after they beat Spain in the last World Cup. They are a side who are difficult pin down due to their superb spirit. Although they don’t have stellar names in their ranks but Dennies Cheryshev is the one to look out for.

In another game of Group B, Denmark will host Finland at Parken stadium in Copenhagen. The Danes posses a very good bunch of Individuals like Christian Eriksen, Yussuf Poulsen and Kasper Schmeichel who will be their key players. A former  winners of this title, Denmark despite not having star names can cause real problems to any side. As for Finland, they will face a tough challenge and will hope that their talismanic striker Timo Pukki can find the back of the net early in the game.
