Paris: The Tennis world witnessed an absolute blockbuster as Novak Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal in the French Open semi-final at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris on Friday (June 11). The Serbian top seed won 6-3, 3-6, 6-7, 2-6 against the undisputed clay-court king Nadal In a intriguing battle  that lasted 4 hours and 11 minutes giving thrills to fans all  over the world.  With this win Djokovic extended his head-to-head record to 30-28 against the 13 time winners of this title Nadal after the win on Friday.

The first three sets stretched around three and a half hours with twists coming thick and fast. The two maestros engaged in 57 rallies of nine or more shots. However, it was the Serbian who had the last laugh defeating Nadal twice in this grand slam ending his 35 game winning streak. Novak in his sixth French open final will face the challenge of Stefanos Tsitsipas.
