West Indies announce squad for ODI series against England and Ireland

Kolkata : West Indies have announced squad for ODI series against England and Ireland.

The tours will be an initial step towards preparation for road to ICC WC 2027.

“These matches form a critical component towards the 2027 World Cup and there are signs of the team building consistency following the series sweep against Bangladesh and the win over England late last year”, said head coach Darren Sammy.

CWI also announced changes to the coaching staff for the tour. Former West Indies fast bowler and 2012 World Cup champion Ravi Rampaul will be the team’s bowling coach, replacing James Franklin. CWI will also utilize the services of former Ireland allrounder Kevin O’Brien as part of the coaching staff during the Ireland leg of the tour.

Captained by Shai Hope, the squad has some fresh faces like Jewel Andrew, Amir Jangoo.

Rest of the squad consists of well balanced players like Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Justin Greaves, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Romario Shepherd, Jayden Seales, Sherfane Rutherford, Matthew Forde.
