UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: Belgium could not win against 10-man France, Germany won the Nations League

KOLKATA:- Kolo Muanyi’s double scored the victory for France. Belgium could not beat France despite playing with 10 men in the last 15 minutes. France finished second in Ligue A Group 2 on Monday night. On the other hand, Germany topped the group after defeating the Netherlands in their League A Group 3 match.

After 35 minutes, Muani put the team ahead with a goal from the penalty.

Belgium’s Lois Openda equalized with a goal in stoppage time of the first half. Muani scored another goal in the 62nd minute. Belgium could not repay that goal. Captain Yuri Thielemans failed to score a penalty. Aurelien Chuameni left the field after seeing a red card in the 76th minute. Belgium could not open the goal door even though the opponent was reduced to 10 men. Although footballers like Kevin the Bruin and Romelu Lukaku did not play for Belgium on this day. Kylian Mbappé was not in the France team.

In another match, Germany defeated the Netherlands. Germany won 1-0. The only goal for the team was scored by Jamie Leuling who came down to play the debut match. Germany went ahead with his goal in 64 minutes. The Netherlands could not repay the goal. Liuling put the ball in the net at the beginning of the match. But that goal was disallowed due to offside.

Italy won 4-1 against Israel in the other Nations League match. Hungary, Türkiye, Sweden and Wales also won. Ukraine vs Czechia match is a 1-1 draw.
