Champions League quarterfinal fixtures are out; Big matches on cards

Zurich : The draw for UEFA Champions League Quarter finals are out with mouthwatering fixtures up for the football lovers all around the globe.

Manchester City will face Borussia Dortmund. Certainly one of the clashes of the season. It is to be seen how Pep Guardiola stops the threat of Ering Braut Haaland who has been in fine goalscoring form for the German side. City on the other hand has been very strong in their defence with Ruben Dias and John Stones playing some good football for the Blues. It would be a big match in every prospect of the league and certainly one of the match to watch out for.

Paris Saint Germain to take on Bayern Munich. It’s the repeat of last year’s UCL final. Defending champions Bayern has been in a fine form from the last season. They have strengthened their squad by bringing in Leroy Sane who has been good for Hansi Flick’s side. Robert Lewandowski would be a threat for the PSG defence and certainly the trump card for Bayern. PSG would be much dependent on Kylian Mbappe for goals. The hat-trick against FC Barcelona was one of the highlights of the season. He will be the main man for the Parisians against the defending champions whom they want to beat to seek the revenge of last year’s final.

Real Madrid will take on Liverpool FC. This match would be the repeat of 2018 UCL final. Both the teams are capable of going through to the next round and anything can happen in this match. Madrid would be much dependent on their veteran forward Karim Benzema for goals. On the other hand Liverpool would be dependent on their front trio Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Chelsea will take on FC Porto. Chelsea got the easiest side among other ones. They would be looking forward to beating the Portuguese side. They have shown some improvement under their new manager Thomas Tuchel and would be looking for something big after a long time in the UCL. Porto on the other hand would be looking to pull off another upset just like they did against Juventus in the round of 16.
