Kolkata : Former legendary Indian skipper has been reappointed as ICC Men’s Cricket Committee Chairman, joined by his former teammate, the legendary VVS Laxman who’s also a member in the panel.
The official comfirmation of the decision was made by ICC on Sunday, and the Men’s Panel members will consist the likes of Hamid Hassan (former Afghanistan cricketer), Desmond Haynes (West Indies legend), Temba Bavuma (South Africa’s current Test and ODI captain), and former England batsman Jonathan Trott, who is currently serving as the head coach of Afghanistan Cricket Team.
For Women’s panel – Catherine Campbell (re-appointed), Avril Fahey and Pholetsi Moseki are appointed.
Every 3 years, ICC have to apooint a new Chairman. Sourav Ganguly first took over the reigns back in 2021, replacing compatriot and legendary spinner – Anil Kumble, who had completed his maximum tenure.
